The Fulton Volunteer Fire Department (FVFD) was founded in 1948 following a significant wildland fire that underscored the need for an organized emergency response in the Town of Fulton and throughout Aransas County. Initially operating out of a small station with a single fire truck, FVFD has since grown substantially. Today, our department includes nine apparatus, a mobile communications unit, two fire stations, and a dedicated team of over 30 members. We respond to over 400 calls for service annually, with demand steadily increasing.
Our purpose is to deliver professional, timely, and essential life-saving services to the residents and visitors of our community. Our personnel are highly trained and devote countless volunteer hours each month to maintaining and enhancing their skills, ensuring that we are always ready to provide the highest quality service.
The mission shall be the protection of life and property in Aransas County. This shall include fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue operations and any situation where organized emergency workers are needed to work in conjunction with the Aransas County Emergency Corp.
Our team of dedicated members brings diverse skills and years of experience to the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department. Each team member plays an essential role in providing professional, life-saving services to our community.
